What’s in your lunchbox?

Paula's the cause of America's Obesity Problem?
Leave it to Barbara Walters and her non-news program “The View” to attack Paula Deen’s new cookbook for kids. On Tuesday’s “The View” Paula was showcasing her menus for back to school lunch boxes and Walters accused her of ignoring the nation’s obesity epidemic with typical butter and calorie laden lunch box recipes.
While generally I would agree that we make poor food choices for ourselves and our school kids, you can hardly lay blame for this at Paula Deen’s kitchen. At least Paula is promoting whole food and real food for lunch boxes. Paula’s recipes don’t involve packing your student lunch box with “lunchables” and “fruit roll ups” — food notoriously high in processed sugar and corn syrup. At least Paula’s foods tend to include actual vegetables and fruits.
As with most of “The View” information it’s all or nothing. Paula looked a little surprised by the attack, and expressed her “everything in moderation” approach, but Walters would have none of it. Just check this out…
